Type 201 is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese stainless steel. It can be used in most applications as a substitute for 301. Type 201 is nonmagnetic in the annealed condition, but becomes slightly magnetic when cold worked. The rate of work hardening is similar to type 301, although type 201 develops somewhat higher yield strength while retaining equal ductility when cold worked. Toughness at low temperatures is excellent.
202 stainless steel is one of the 200 series stainless steel. 200 series stainless steel has low nickel (4%-6%) and high manganese (7.5%-10%). It's widely used in building decoration, municipal engineering, highway guardrail, hotel facilities, shopping malls, vitreous armrest, public facilities, etc.

Definition of stainless steel
In metallurgy, stainless steel, also known as inox steel or inox from French "inoxydable", is defined as a steelalloy with a minimum of 10.5% to 11% chromium content by mass.Stainless steel does not readily corrode, rust or stain with water as ordinary steel does, but despite the name it is not fully stain-proof, most notably under low oxygen, high salinity, or poor circulation environments. It is also called corrosion-resistant steel or CRES when the alloy type and grade are not detailed, particularly in the aviation industry. There are different grades and surface finishes of stainless steel to suit the environment the alloy must endure. Stainless steel is used where both the properties of steel and resistance to corrosion are required.
